Cinderella the Ballet!

Today Maddie and I went to the ballet to see Cinderella.
It was quite long - 2 hours plus 2 15 minute intermissions. Thankfully there were lots of other little girls around - Maddie did well but she was still antsy.
This is before we left. I thought I had Maddie dressed up enough but there were girls in tootoos and princess dresses. Pretty cute - thankfully Maddie didn't complain about not being in one of those herself.

Maddie's the big black spot on the left. Our seats were on the first row of the balcony so she could stand and look down. They were perfect seats.

Fruitsnacks during intermission!
Did she like it?
Well, she wasn't thrilled about sitting through it but she talked all about it after.
I've asked her if she would want to learn to dance like a ballerina. She has only said no once. There is a lady who comes to the seminary to do lessons in the fall so I'm thinking we'll give it a try.
What did Katie do while we were there? Went fishing with Daddy! :)

Jam Session with "Mr. Joe" - For Emilee and Caroline!

A Morning at the Water Park - Friday (26th)

We have another really fun water park a few minutes away. It was a great thing to do while it's so hot and not wanting to hang out on the playground. I enjoyed getting in there with them.

This was Maddie's photography.
She really does do a great job taking pictures! :)

Great way to dry off before we got in the car.

Loved the swing!

Morning Out with Daddy - June 20, 2009

While I got to meet some of the first year seminary wives, the girls went with Spence to a nearby park that had a lake to fish in, a playground and a sprinkler.

This little boy helped Spence while they were there. I particularly love the girls' hair!

The fish of the day!

Cool off time!

The Circus - Friday, June 19

We got to go to a really cool circus, like in a big top on a parking lot, just inside downtown St. Louis.
It was supposed to be air conditioned but since heat rises it was not so!

These are some new friends - Caleb and Joshua Stephen.

Some New Friends - June, 2009

This is Owen. He lives aross the hall from us.

Here is Katie, Anna, Maddie and Beth,
Anna and Beth live upstairs in our building. They are the same ages as Maddie and Katie and they also have a little sister named Eva who is 2 months old.

This is Isaac and Eli - they are our playground buddies. We seem to be on the same playground schedule!
There are lots of boys here at Covenant - big change from IPC! :)

Our Fish!

Our first St. Louis outing - Fishing! June 13

First, we had to go to Dick's Sporting Goods.

Then we had to get some green worms!
We thought Popo would think that was pretty cool.

Snack time.

We thought the ducks needed a snack too!
Cheetos!

Couple Pictures of our Patio

. . . Mommy was not too thrilled!

But a great place for lunch!

Our Hero

Our first week in our new apartment, the girls and I were sitting in our dining room when I saw a lovely, huge snake slither up onto out neighbors patio. Thankfully, Daddy was not in class and was able to take care of the situation!
